The college basketball transfer portal window is closed, but that does not mean action has slowed down with a constant wave of commitments from many of the top available prospects remaining. The deadline for new entries passed with more than 2,000 players putting their name in the transfer portal during the wild 45-day window. Now, many teams are filling the gaps on their roster or undergoing a complete overhaul ahead of the 2024-25 season.
Of the top-100 transfer portal prospects from this cycle, less than 20 are still available after another surge of commitments in the past week. Arkansas continues to make big moves under new head coach John Calipari as recent additions pushed the Razorbacks to No. 1 in the transfer portal team rankings. Alabama, Baylor, Kentucky, Ohio State, USC, West Virginia and others also landed key transfers recently.
The list of best available players remaining in the college basketball transfer portal is still loaded with high-end talent for those teams in search of specific needs.

Previous school: Florida Atlantic
It should come as no surprise that John Calipari landed one of the top overall transfers in former Florida Atlantic guard Johnell Davis. But the fact that Arkansas was able to keep the talented portal prospect from following his former head coach to Michigan is noteworthy. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound shooting guard averaged career highs with 18.2 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game this past season. Davis shot 48.3% from the field and 41.4% from 3-point range.
