WIAA releases brackets for Boys Basketball Playoffs – WBAY
GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – The road to the Kohl Center got a little clearer for area boys hoops teams as the WIAA released the brackets for the upcoming playoffs.
A pair of FRCC squads received top seeds when the brackets came out. Defending division one champion De Pere takes a 21-1 record into the postseason following their latest win over defending division two champion Pewaukee on Saturday. In front of them could be a match-up with Oshkosh North in the sectional finals with the Spartans receiving a three seed, but tough tests remain against the likes of #2 Arrowhead and #4 Homestead.
In division two, the Ashwaubenon Jaguars also received a top seed in their sectional. The Jaguars last made a run to state back in 2022.
The Kiel Raiders are one of just two remaining unbeatens with Wisconsin Lutheran after their second win over defending division three champion Brillion this season. Kiel receiving a top seed as well, but are in a tough sectional featuring the likes of Xavier and Brillion.
