The end of the college basketball season is here following the national championship game, but action in the transfer portal continues to churn at a record-setting pace. Another new No. 1 transfer prospect sits atop the rankings with Arizona big man Oumar Ballo entering as the first five-star of the cycle.
Massive moves in the on-going coaching carousel also have an impact on the transfer portal. The anticipated transition from Kentucky to Arkansas for John Calipari will likely cause another wave of entries and commitments in the coming weeks. Several notable Wildcats already entered before the move became official.
Some of the top transfers in 2024 are already committed elsewhere, but elite talent is still available, including many prospects from high-major programs. Only 13 of the top 50 transfers this cycle are off the board. The spring portal window remains open until May 1.
