The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team hosts one of their biggest Upstate New York rivals, the Cornell Big Red, at the JMA Wireless Dome at Syracuse University on Tuesday, December 5 (12/5/2023) at 8 p.m. ET.

Syracuse dropped its first ACC game of the season when they lost 84-62 to the Virginia Cavaliers on Saturday. The Cavaliers’ Reece Beekman harassed Syracuse’s Judah Mintz into his worst game of the season so far, where he scored only five points.
Cornell is climbing the ranks in the Ivy League under Brian Earl, and they are currently 7-1 for the season and on a four-game win-streak following a 79-71 win over Lafayette on Saturday. Earl has been working to reinvent the Big Red as a faster paced, high pressure team for years, and is hoping to challenge the top dogs in the conference.
Cornell has not beaten Syracuse in the last 42 consecutive matchups dating to 1968. Syracuse leads the series 96-31, and beat the Big Red 78-63 when they last faced each other in 2022.
