Lynx Offseason Update: Carleton Debuts; McBride, Shepard Keep Rolling – Canis Hoopus

Each week, we will provide an update on the Minnesota Lynx players overseas and how they are performing as part of our Lynx Offseason Update series.
As November comes closer to a conclusion, the seasons overseas continue for WNBA players spending their offseasons across the globe leading up to the 2024 WNBA campaign.
The Minnesota Lynx have a total of nine players who plan to play overseas, with one of those players — Napheesa Collier — done with her year out of the country. Outside of Collier, Minnesota’s Kayla McBride, Nina Milić, Tiffany Mitchell, Lindsay Allen, Jessica Shepard, Dorka Juhász, Diamond Miller and Bridget Carleton are either playing or plan to play overseas in Turkey, Italy and Hungary this offseason.
In last week’s update, McBride and Milić helped their team continue the strong start to their season, Linsday Allen impressed in for her Turkish squad, Dorka Juhász put together her best outing of the offseason and more.
As a new week gets underway, here’s a look back at how the Lynx players have performed over the last week across the globe in our latest Lynx Offseason Update.
This week, Carleton officially joined a team this offseason, not returning to Perfumerías Avenida in Spain like last offseason, but instead joining fellow Lynx teammate Diamond Miller with UNI Györ in Hungary.

With two games on the schedule this week for UNI Györ, Carleton debuted in the second game of the week, an 81-75 win over TFSE-MTK on Nov. 26. In that first showing of the season, Carleton had a strong showing with 10 points, seven rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block over 27 minutes of action.
Over the next week, Carleton and UNI Györ will hold one contest, a EuroLeague battle against Perfumerías Avenida on Nov. 29.
The Lynx duo of McBride and Milić both continue to play well for global powerhouse Fenerbahçe this offseason, once again putting together strong showings in a new week that included two games for Fenerbahće.
Over the past week, Fenerbahçe took down Sfantu Gheorghe 110-63 in EuroLeague action on Nov. 22, following that with an 84-68 win over Kayseri in Turkey-KBSL play on Nov. 25.
McBride played in both games over the week, posting a team-high-tying 24 points on five threes and six assists in 29 minutes on Nov. 22, adding 13 points, four assists, three rebounds and two steals over 39 minutes on Nov. 25. Milić took the court in one game, an impressive 24-point, eight-rebound performance in 24 minutes on Nov. 22.
Fenerbahçe will return to the court with a pair of games this week, a EuroLeague contest against Aluinvent DVTK on Nov. 29 and a Turkey-KBSL game against Cankaya on Dec. 2.
Shepard has been a double-double machine since first appearing with Umana Reyer Venezia this offseason, doing so once again this past week with a pair of games on Nov. 23 and Nov. 26.
In a 73-58 win over PEAC-Pecs on Nov. 23, Shepard led the way with a team-high 17 points and a team-best 11 rebounds along with one assist over 24 minutes. In a 63-57 victory over San Giovanni on Nov. 26, Shepard added 13 points and three rebounds in 25 minutes.
Umana Reyer Venezia will have one game over the next week, a EuroCup showdown against Bursa on Nov. 30.
Following one of her best weeks of the offseason thus far, Allen and Botas SK got back to action over the past week with a Turkey-KBSL battle.
Allen and Botas SK took down Tarsus 87-84 on Nov. 25, with the guard finishing that win with a near double-double of 13 points, a team-high nine assists, four rebounds, two steals and one block over 37 minutes.
Botas SK and Allen return to the court this week when they face Besiktas in a Turkey-KBSL battle on Dec. 2.
Following her best showing of the season, Juhász returned to the court with Famila Schio over the past week with two games on Nov. 22 and Nov. 25.
In a 56-51 loss to Zaragoza on Nov. 22, Juhász posted a near double-double of eight points, nine rebounds, one steal and one block over 29 minutes. In a 73-67 victory over Brescia on Nov. 25, she played in a total of seven minutes, totaling two points and five rebounds.
Famila Schio will have one game over the next week, a EuroLeague contest against Valencia on Nov. 29.
Mitchell has gotten off to a strong season with Galatasaray in the Turkey-KBSL so far this season, although she didn’t play over the past week despite two games on the schedule for Galatasaray.
So far this offseason, Mitchell has appeared in seven games with Galatasaray. She has averaged 17.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.7 steals over 33.7 minutes in three Turkey-KBSL contests, adding 15.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.0 steal over 33.5 minutes in four EuroCup appearances.
Galatasaray has one game on the schedule this week, a EuroCup matchup against Kibirkstis Vilnius on Nov. 29.
Coming off her rookie campaign in the WNBA, Diamond Miller is playing with UNI Györ this offseason in Hungary.
Miller didn’t take the court this past week despite two games on the schedule and hasn’t taken the court since Oct. 31 when UNI Györ fell to Polkowice 92-82 in EuroLeague play.
Miller is off to a nice start overseas this offseason, having posted 24 points, six assists, five rebounds and one steal in one EuroLeague game and adding 16 points, five rebounds and three assists in one Hungary-A Division contest.
We will see if Miller returns to the court when UNI Györ returns to the court on Nov. 29 in a EuroLeague matchup against Perfumerías Avenida.
