Looking for perspective after the first trio of Wake Forest Basketball games – 247Sports

CHARLESTON, South Carolina — You can only drive a car on one of those ‘donut’ spare tires for about 50 miles before something bad happens.
Not to disparage anyone on this Wake Forest basketball team, as they had that car humming in the first half, and even through the first 30 minutes were in position to knock off Utah in the first round of the Charleston Classic.
But when Andrew Carr picked up his fourth foul (ALL in the second half, and a couple of questionable means) the donut tire had enough and that car slid off the road as the Utes exploded for a decisive 11-0 run in a 77-70 victory over the Deacs.
