Women's Basketball Continues Season Against Southern Indiana … – Mizzou Athletics

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri Women’s Basketball continues nonconference action at 7 p.m. Monday against Southern Indiana (3-0, 0-0 OVC) in Mizzou Arena. The contest will be broadcast on SECN+.
The Tigers (3-1, 0-0 SEC) are coming off an 83-72 victory over North Alabama on Tuesday. Missouri has scored 83+ points in three consecutive contests for the first time since Dec. 6-16, 2012.
Missouri currently features a 13-game home win streak in November dating back to the 2020-21 season.
Graduate forward Hayley Frank matched a career-high with 29 points in the win. The total moved Frank into seventh on the program’s all-time scoring leaderboard. She now stands nine points Nancy Rutter (1974-78) for sixth.
Senior guard Mama Dembele recorded 12 points and 10 steals against the Lions. Dembele has notched double-doubles in consecutive games for the first time in her career. In addition, the point guard now ranks third nationally in both steals (18) and assists (31).
Grace Slaughter chipped in 13 points to mark her fourth-straight double-digit scoring effort to begin her collegiate career. Slaughter is the first Tiger to accomplish the statistical feat since Sophie Cunningham in 2015.
Southern Indiana enters Monday with a 3-0 record following victories over Wright State, Oakland City and Northern Illinois.
The Screaming Eagles are led by Rick Stein who is in his 25th year at the helm of the program with a 426-254 overall record.
Junior guard Vanessa Shafford headlines the Southern Indiana roster with 12.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.
Redshirt senior guard Addy Blackwell contributes 11.0 points and 1.2 boards per contest.
Monday will mark the first overall meeting between the programs.
