NBA Rumors: Milwaukee Bucks' Replacement Plan After Terry Stotts … – Wisconsin Sports Heroics

The Milwaukee Bucks shocked the basketball world yet again on Thursday. This time around, however, the news wasn’t good at all.
Just days before the new season tips off, news broke that Terry Stotts had decided to step down from his post as an assistant coach. The former Portland Trail Blazers shot-caller ends his extremely brief tenure with the Bucks after just a few months. He did not even have a chance to coach in a single regular-season game.

Multiple personalities from the Bucks have revealed that this development came as a complete shock. Not too many people, if any, saw this coming, especially considering the timing of Stotts’ resignation.
Be that as it may, the team isn’t panicking. According to a report by league insiders Shams Charania and Eric Nehm of The Athletic, the Bucks won’t be rushing to make a decision in terms of their replacement for the recently vacated post:

“Per a team source, the Bucks will take their time in considering all options in filling Stotts’ spot on the staff,” read the report.

“Per a team source, the Bucks will take their time in considering all options in filling Stotts’ spot on the staff,” read the report.
This only means that it’s now highly likely that Milwaukee will enter the new season missing one assistant coach.

Trouble in Paradise?

Given these recent circumstances, you can’t help but think that there is some dysfunction within the squad. After all, a veteran coach such as Stotts, who also happened to have been a head coach for the Bucks between 2005 and 2007, would not abandon his post at such a crucial time without a compelling reason.
Reports also indicated that Stotts’ decision to resign came after an untoward incident in practice involving head coach Adrian Griffin. The latter reportedly ended up shouting at Stotts after his assistant refused to join the coach’s huddle. This happened in front of the entire team, and it would probably be safe to assume that Stotts wasn’t at all happy with how the situation went down.
Hopefully, this is the only manifestation of tension within this new-look Bucks side.
