For the first time since the 2023-24 season began, there will be no NBA games played on Tuesday, Nov. 7. After hosting the Clippers on Monday, the New York Knicks and the other 29 teams will have the day off.
If you’re a New York fan unsure what to do with the off night, the Rangers will host the Red Wings at the Garden. NCAA basketball is also back, and two men’s games will be played on Tuesday, and both contests feature top 25 teams. The same goes for women’s college basketball, with No. 11 Tennessee hosting Florida A&M and No. 23 Illinois hosting Morehead State.
The NBA isn’t holding any games on Tuesday, Nov. 7, because it’s Election Day. Per the NBA, the point is to “encourage fans and the broader NBA community to make a plan to vote and participate in the civic process.”
Last year was the first time the NBA didn’t hold games on Election Day.
