NBA Rumors: Los Angeles Lakers Among Teams Linked to … – Wisconsin Sports Heroics

The Milwaukee Bucks will have a target on their back this coming season. Such is the price you have to pay for being one of the early favorites to win it all this year.
The Bucks are expected to face some major challenges in the East this term, with none more compelling than the Boston Celtics. However, Milwaukee should not overlook their rivals in the Central Division.

One Central Division team that will be hoping to pose a significant challenge for Giannis Antetokounmpo and the new-look Bucks are the Chicago Bulls. At this point, however, it does not seem like they are capable of doing the same.
Chicago is now entering Year 3 of their Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, and Nikola Vucevic Big 3. During that span, all they’ve had to show for is one trip to the playoffs, which resulted in a disappointing first-round exit.
This is exactly why it comes as no surrpise that there have been calls for the Bulls to shake things up significantly. This could come in the form of a blockbuster trade for two-time All-Star Zach LaVine.

Eddie Bitar of Fadeaway World listed an intriguing list of trade packages for LaVine, with one of them involving the 6-foot-5 shooting guard taking his talents to Hollywood to team up with LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.
Below are the details of the proposed trade:
Chicago Gets: D’Angelo Russell, Austin Reaves, 2029 First-Round Pick
LA Gets: Zach LaVine

The biggest benefit for Chicago here is that they would not need to go on a full rebuild once they part ways with LaVine. Not only will they still have DeRozan and Vucevic on their roster, but the additions of D’Angelo Russell and Austin Reaves allows them to remain relevant in the East. The future first-round pick is a great sweetener to this deal as well:

“If The Chicago Bulls want to make a quick rebuild, acquiring D’Angelo Russell would bring an experienced guard with scoring and playmaking prowess to their roster. Austin Reaves would offer young talent and potential as the key figure in the trade, and the 2029 first-round pick, though distant in the future, adds an asset that could prove valuable for long-term planning,” Bitar wrote.

For the Lakers, they will need to give up a whole lot in this deal. However, LaVine is the type of player who could make a significant and immediate impact on their squad. Much like the Bucks, LA needs to win now with LeBron’s championship window closing.
