UCLA basketball is doing very well in terms of getting high-quality and talented student-athletes to commit to their basketball program for the 2023 class. The Bruins basketball program is led by head coach Mick Cronin and is still considered one of the best recruiting programs in the country. Let’s take a look at the 2023 class here.
This has been updated for the 2023 recruiting class.

Currently, the 247 Sports composite ranking has UCLA ranked the No. 13 recruiting class for 2023. On3 has the Bruins 2023 class ranked No. 15 nationally and No. 3 in the Pac-12 conference. These class rankings not being the top 5, why is there an argument that the Bruins may have the best 2023 recruiting class? Because now, all seven student-athletes have now signed with UCLA.
For one only 247 Sports has Vide ranked and the two other recent signees are not included in any of the 247 Sports or ESPN rankings only On3 even has Mara ranked but even with him signed, On3 has not moved up UCLA up in the rankings. No recruiting outlet mentioned in this article has Buyuktuncel ranked at all. If you were to include those three players especially Mara in UCLA’s recruiting ranking, it would be a strong argument that the “unstoppable seven” is the best incoming recruiting class in all of college basketball.
ESPN has UCLA’s incoming recruiting class ranked the highest at No. 12 and that is only including the four original Bruin signees. The three international players who have signed are not yet widely ranked in the recruiting rankings and they all but certainly will be instant contributors to the UCLA team this upcoming season.
The UCLA Bruins men’s basketball team is expected to be one of the top teams in the Pac-12 Conference this season. They also have a talented freshman class as well as the return Adem Bona who took his name out of the NBA draft and returned to UCLA for this upcoming season.
The Bruins are like last season, still expected to compete for the Pac-12 title and make a  significant run in the NCAA Tournament. They have the talent to be a top-5 team in 2023-24. However, they will need to stay healthy and avoid any major upsets if they want to reach their full potential.
The Bruins have the talent to achieve all of the above-mentioned goals. However, they will need to play their best basketball all season long if they want to reach their full potential. They also by the end of this month may arguably have the best incoming recruiting class in all of college basketball for 2023.
