Fourteen Games at Taylor Center Highlight 2023-24 Maverick Men's … – Minnesota State University – Mankato Athletics

MANKATO, Minn. — The Minnesota State men’s basketball team will compete in 28 games during the upcoming 2023-24 season, including 14 games at home in Taylor Center. 
Minnesota State opens its season at the Central Region Challenge in Kansas City, Mo. The Mavericks begin with a 5:00 p.m., tip-off against Southern Arkansas on Nov. 10, before finishing the weekend with a 5:00 p.m., contest against Arkansas-Monticello on Nov. 11. 
MSU then heads north to take on St. Cloud State in a nonconference road game on Nov. 18 with tip-off to be determined. 
The Mavericks open their home slate with five straight games at Taylor Center. MSU hosts Dakota State on Nov. 21, Waldorf on Nov. 24 and Bethany Lutheran College on Nov. 25. Minnesota State then opens its NSIC schedule as it hosts Sioux Falls on Dec. 1 and Southwest Minnesota State on Dec. 2, with game times set for 5:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m., respectively. 
Dec. 8, Minnesota State embarks on a three-game road swing, beginning with a 5:30 p.m., contest at Augustana, then traveling to Wayne State on Dec. 9 for a 3:30 p.m., tip-off. MSU concludes the trip with a Thursday evening game at Winona State on Dec. 14, at 5:30 p.m. 
The Mavericks wrap up the 2023 calendar year with home games against Concordia-St. Paul on Dec. 16 at 1:00 p.m., and Minnesota Duluth on Dec. 19 at 6:00 p.m. 
The month of January will see the Mavericks compete in eight games, including three at Taylor Center. The Mavericks open the month at home with a 5:30 p.m., tip-off against Northern State on Jan. 5, before commencing a four-game road trip. MSU opens its road trip with games at Bemidji State on Jan. 12 and Minnesota Crookston with start times set for 5:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m., respectively. The Mavericks then head to Minot State on Jan. 19 for a 7:30 p.m., tip-off before finishing their road trip with a 5:30 p.m., game at the University of Mary on Jan. 20. 
MSU returns to Taylor Center for a pair of games against St. Cloud State on Jan. 26 (7:30 p.m.) and MSU Moorhead on Jan. 27 (5:30 p.m.), before finishing the month on January with a 7:30 p.m., road game at Minnesota Duluth on Jan. 30. 
Minnesota State concludes its regular season schedule with seven games in the month of February. MSU will head to Southwest Minnesota State on Feb. 2 and Sioux Falls on Feb. 3, with tip-offs scheduled for 7:30 p.m., and 5:30 p.m., respectively. MSU returns home for two games against Wayne State on Feb. 9 at 7:30 p.m., and Augustana on Feb. 10 at 5:30 p.m. 
MSU finishes its regular season road schedule with a 5:30 p.m., game at Northern State on Feb. 17, before closing out the regular season with a pair of games at Taylor Center. The Mavericks will host Minnesota Crookston on Feb. 23 at 7:30 p.m., before squaring off with Bemidji State on Feb. 24 at 5:30 p.m., to wrap up the regular season. 
Round one of the NSIC Tournament is scheduled for Feb. 28, with its site and game time to be determined. The final three rounds of the NSIC Tournament will be held at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D., from March 2-5. 
The NCAA Central Region Tournament will be held from March 16-19, with its site to be determined. The NCAA Elite Eight will take place in Evansville, Ind., from March 26-30.
