After 11 straight days of action, the NBA takes a break in activity on Saturday no games have programmed for 13 May but play resumes tomorrow when the 76ers visit TD Garden to conclude their semi-final with the Boston Celtic with the series tied at 3-3. It is the only semi-final yet to be decided.
Three teams have booked their place in the finals – the Lakers (No.7 seed) will face the Nuggets (No.1 seed) in the Western Conference final with Game 1 tipping off on Tuesday. The Heat (No.8 seed) are through to the Eastern Conference final after beating the Knicks 4-2. Miami will be up against the winners of tomorrow’s game in Boston.

In general, all of the semi-finals have been evenly-fought – the evidence of that being that all of the series were taken to a sixth game, and one going to seven, which has meant that there has been at least one game every day.
It is just pure chance that there is a break in the action on Saturday 13 May. It is simply down to how the playoffs were scheduled – any semi-final that required a seventh game would be played on either Sunday 14 May or Monday 15 May.
The NBA finals, another best-of-seven series, get underway with Game 1 of the Western Conference finals on Tuesday 16 May with Game 1 of the Eastern Conference to played on Wednesday 17 May. All games tip off at 8:30 p.m. EDT / 5:30 p.m. PDT.
