ROSEMONT, Ill. — In conjunction with the Big Ten Conference and its television partners, the University of Michigan men’s basketball team has released its game times and TV designations on Tuesday (Oct. 3) for the upcoming 2023-24 season.
All 32 games (31 regular season, one exhibition) will be available via television or digital networks. The overall breakdown has the Maize and Blue appearing twice on CBS and FOX, six times on FS1, five on Peacock, three on ESPN Networks and 10 on Big Ten Network.
The Wolverines also will have two games on B1G+, which are produced by the Big Ten Student U program, against Northwood (exhibition, Nov. 3) and Long Beach State (Nov. 17).
U-M’s road game at Oregon (Dec. 2) as well as the Jumpman Invitational matchup with Florida (Dec. 19) will have designations determined at a later date.
Michigan’s home contest with Purdue (Feb. 24, 2 p.m.) and away matchup at Ohio State (March 3, 4 p.m.) will air on CBS at the tail end of the regular season, while a home game with the Buckeyes (Jan. 15) will be a special FOX broadcast on MLK Day at noon. U-M’s remaining FOX game will be at Crisler Center against rival Michigan State (Feb. 17) at 8 p.m.
With new partner NBC Sports and Peacock, the Wolverines will play in four of Peacock’s Tuesday-night doubleheaders. U-M’s games with Indiana (Dec. 5), at Purdue (Jan. 23) and at Michigan State (Jan. 30) will be the second game (9 p.m.), while its road game at Illinois (Feb. 13) will have a 6 p.m. CST start. The fifth Peacock appearance will be Thursday night against Minnesota (Jan. 4) at 9 p.m.
For the Gavitt Tipoff Games, Michigan faces St. John’s in New York City (Nov. 13) in a 6:30 p.m. game on FS1. The Wolverines’ trip to the Battle 4 Atlantis (Nov. 22-24) is scheduled to be aired on the ESPN family of networks.
U-M’s opening-round game with Memphis in the Bahamas is set for a 5 p.m. tipoff on ESPN2. U-M faces either Arkansas or Stanford in the second game. If U-M wins the first, the Wolverines are scheduled for a 2:30 p.m. (ESPN) start. With a loss, U-M would head to the consolation bracket with a 7:30 p.m. tip on ESPN2.
With 10 games on Big Ten Network, the conference network’s schedule is highlighted by U-M’s game with Penn State (Jan. 7) at the Palestra in downtown Philadelphia at noon. The Wolverines have one flex game with U-M’s game with McNeese (Dec. 29) to tipoff at either 5 or 7 p.m. The other game that night features Purdue vs. Eastern Kentucky (5 or 7 p.m.).
The 2024 Big Ten Tournament will have the first three rounds (March 13-15) broadcast on Big Ten Network before CBS takes over coverage for the semifinal (March 16) and championship game (March 17).
While season tickets are sold out, single-game tickets go on sale in early October. Starting Tuesday (Oct. 10), donors to Michigan Athletics with 500+ priority points will get access to ticket sales. The following day, Wednesday (Oct. 11), sales will open for donors with fewer than 500 priority. On Thursday (Oct. 12), U-M will open its Digital Day for single-game tickets.
