AUSTIN, Texas — The University of Texas Men’s Basketball team is set to open the 2023-24 season with the Orange-White Scrimmage on Tuesday, October 17. The fan-friendly event is set for 6 p.m. Central at Gregory Gym in the heart of the UT campus.

Admission to the Orange-White scrimmage is free. The majority of the lower floor seats will be held for UT students, while the upper bowl will be general admission on a first-come, first-served basis. Fans are encouraged to line up outside the gym entrance on the afternoon of the scrimmage in advance of doors opening at 5 p.m.

Free pizza will be provided to the first 500 UT students. In addition, Texas Athletics will be giving away free t-shirts to the first 750 fans in attendance (either general public or students).

During the 5-6 p.m. window, the event will feature on-court promotions and interactive fan contests. The Texas players are expected to join the action on the court at 6 p.m. and add to the festivities. The Longhorns will then take to the floor for an intrasquad scrimmage. Following the scrimmage, fans are encouraged to come to the court for personal autographs, photos and one-on-one conversations with the players.

Complimentary parking for this event will be available in Speedway Garage (105 East 27th Street) courtesy of Texas Athletics. Fans are encouraged to arrive early and expect traffic delays and congestion around the UT campus.
