This week’s episode of College Basketball Recruiting Weekly was based exclusively off intel from the recruiting trail.
We broke down the recruitment of some of the best available prospects in the national class of 2024 – Cooper Flagg, Dylan Harper, Tre Johnson, Derik Queen, Karter Knox, Jalil Bethea, and Jayden Quaintance. First, we examined what is publicly known about each of their respective processes. Then, we dug into what we are hearing behind the scenes.
Flagg is set to visit Connecticut, Kansas, and Duke. Visit dates haven’t been released yet, but do we know when they might be?
Harper has a final five of Auburn, Duke, Indiana, Kansas, and Rutgers, but is widely considered to be picking between just two of those schools. Has a favorite emerged?
Johnson visited Baylor, Kansas, Kentucky, and Texas as a junior. He’s scheduled to see Alabama in the near future and Ignite recruited him as hard as anyone this summer. Could this come down to the G League versus his two home-state schools?
Houston, Indiana, and Maryland are the perceived favorites for Queen. He’s got a visit locked in for the Hoosiers. Does that mean Indiana could be a favorite?
Knox has a top 7 of Arkansas, Auburn, Florida State, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, and USF, but is this process bound to come down to Kentucky and Louisville like many expect?
Bethea was on Villanova’s campus this weekend and has subsequent visits set up for Kansas, Miami, Alabama, and Syracuse. Which school looks most confident about their chances?
Quaintance, who isn’t one-and-done eligible after reclassifying up from 2025 to 2024, has fall visits set-up for Ohio State, Missouri, Cincinnati, and Kentucky. Is Kentucky clearly the team to beat here?
