Warriors Receive NBA2k24 Ratings and Reflect on 2k League … – NBA.com
NBA2K24 was released on Friday and the Warriors’ roster has received their initial ratings for the upcoming season. NBA2K breaks each player’s game down into many different attributes to reflect how these players play in the NBA. Then, each team is rated based on its offense, defense and overall collective makeup.
In addition to the players on the court, the Warriors are well represented in NBA2K with their 2K franchise, Warriors Gaming Squad. Warriors Gaming Squad won their first NBA 2K League Championship this past season, defeating NBL Oz Gaming 3-1 in the finals on Aug. 5.

MVP CLUB AT THE TOP
Stephen Curry is tied for the second-highest rating in NBA2K24 at 96 overall, alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo, LeBron James, Joel Embiid and Kevin Durant. Reigning Finals MVP, Nikola Jokic, has the game’s highest rating at 98 overall. Each of the six highest-rated players have won an MVP award. Curry has been a 96 overall – his highest-ever initial rating in the game – for three consecutive seasons since NBA2K22.

Joining Curry, the Warriors have four additional players who have received at least an 80 overall – Klay Thompson (85 overall), Chris Paul (85 overall), Draymond Green (83 overall) and Andrew Wiggins (82 overall). Center Kevon Looney just missed the cut at a 79 overall.

3-POINT CROWN
For the tenth consecutive season, Stephen Curry has the highest 3-point rating in NBA2K24 (99 overall). Curry is joined by his fellow Splash Brother, Klay Thompson, as the two best shooters in the game. After telling NBA2K to “put some respect on his name” – receiving an 88 overall 3-point rating in 2K23 – Thompson’s 3-point rating rose five spots – earning a 93 overall after leading the league in made 3-pointers (301). Curry and Thompson are two of four players with at least a 90-overall 3-point rating, joined by Luke Kennard (92 overall) and Buddy Hield (91 overall).
TEAM RATINGS
The Warriors rank as a tier-one team in NBA2K24 – featuring teams rated between 94 overall and 98 overall. There are 10 tier-one teams, with the Dubs joining the Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers and Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Warriors are tied with the Memphis Grizzlies for the highest-rated Western Conference team (96 overall). Offensively, they’re as good as it gets (99 overall) and they’re also stout on the defensive end (92 overall).

NBA2K24 allows gamers to play some of their favorite Warriors teams in history. In addition to the 2023-24 squad, 2K24 features the 2015-16 Warriors (who set a regular season record for wins with 73), the 2016-17 Warriors (who went 16-1 in the playoff in route to the championship in forward Kevin Durant’s first season with the team), 1990-91 Warriors (‘Run TMC’ with Tim Hardaway, Mitch Richmond and Chris Mullin), 2006-07 Warriors (‘We Believe’ eighth seed that upset first-seed Mavericks in first round) and an All-time Warriors team (featuring the greatest players to ever play for the franchise).
In the second edition of their MyNBA Eras game mode, users can play with Warriors teams from the Magic Johnson vs. Larry Bird era, Michael Jordan era, Kobe Bryant era and the LeBron James era.
WARRIORS GAMING SQUAD WINS 2K24 CHAMPIONSHIP
The Warriors 2K affiliate team – Warriors Gaming Squad – were crowned 2023 NBA 2K League Champions. With this championship, the Warriors became the first franchise to win championships in the NBA (1947, 1956, 1975, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2022), NBA G League (2015), and NBA 2K League (2023). Warriors Gaming, led by third-year head coach Mike Newton, finished the 2023 NBA 2K League season with a regular season record of 14-4 in 5v5 play. They defeated NBL Oz Gaming 3-1 in the finals to secure their first 2K League title.
Guard Nidal “Mama I’m Dat Man” Nasser—a Bay Area native—was named NBA 2K League Finals MVP, posting averages of 22.7 points, 6.5 assists, and 1.5 steals in the finals series.
In addition, forward Kenneth “Kenny Got Work” Hailey and head coach Mike Newton were selected to participate in the third annual NBA 2K League All-Star Game. Hailey, a former 2K League MVP with Raptors Uprising GC in 2020, averaged 14.6 points and shot 79.6 percent from three for Warriors Gaming Group this season.
