NBA Summer League continues as we enter the eighth day of competition from Las Vegas. 
Friday’s slate features eight games throughout the afternoon and evening, with 16 teams taking the floor. Notable matchups include the 3-1 Jazz facing off against the Suns as well as a rematch of the 2023 NBA Finals with the Nuggets taking on the Heat.

In the first game of the day, the Wizards dominated the Thunder to win by double-digits. Johnny Davis finished with 22 points on 9-of-17 shooting for Washington, while Bilal Coulibaly posted 19 points on 5-of-10 from the field. Thunder rookie Cason Wallace struggled, finishing with 10 points and 4 turnovers. 
No. 30 overall pick Kobe Brown stole the show for the Clippers, dropping 35 points and eight rebounds to lead them to a win over the 76ers. They now have a 3-1 record and could still sneak into the playoffs with a win in their final game.
New York’s Charlie Brown Jr. willed his team to a victory over Boston with 27 points and seven rebounds on 10-of-16 from the field. Second-year Duke product Trevor Keels also chipped with 20 points of his own for the Knicks, while Dalton Banton led the Celtics with 18 points. 
Canadian prospect A.J. Lawson went a stellar 10-of-12 from the field en route to 24 points in a blowout Mavericks win. It moved Dallas to 3-1 and kept the team’s Summer League playoff hopes alive heading into the final round of games. 
Denver got its first win of Las Vegas Summer League with a blowout victory in an NBA Final rematch against the Heat. Second round draft pick Hunter Tyson balled out for he Nuggets, finishing with 31 points and an impressive +43 plus/minus rating. 
No. 5 overall pick Ausar Thompson led Detroit to a win over San Antonio in a low-scoring affair. Thompson posted a double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds, while Spurs forward Dominick Barlow led all scorers with 19 points.
The Jazz are one step closer to qualifying for the Summer League playoffs after moving to 4-0 with a narrow win over the Suns. Second-year UCLA product Johnny Juzang put up an impressive 24 points and seven rebounds, while Croatian forward Luka Samanic finished with 22 points and six boards. 
The Grizzlies dominated the Lakers to wrap up the night. David Roddy and Jake LaRavia dropped 21 and 20 points, respectively, to power Memphis to the win and move the team to 2-2.
Summer League games will be played at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas. All 30 NBA teams will participate and play a minimum of five games.
Games will be broadcast on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and NBA TV in the United States. Viewers in the U.S. can also stream Summer League games on the ESPN app, fuboTV or Sling TV.
