NBA Rumors: Ex-Milwaukee Bucks Champ Involved In Potential … – Wisconsin Sports Heroics

NBA rumors: The last time we saw Jordan Nwora in a Milwaukee Bucks jersey was before this past season’s NBA trade deadline. Milwaukee shipped off the 6-foot-8 small forward to the Indiana Pacers in February as part of the Kevin Durant blockbuster trade deal. At this point, it seems that Nwora could be on the move again as he’s now being linked to another multi-team trade.
According to NBA insider Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, Nwora could be part of a complex three-team deal that involves the New York Knicks, the Phoenix Suns, and the Atlanta Hawks.

Scotto reports that the deal would have seen Cam Payne head on over to the Knicks, while TJ McConnell would have headed to Phoenix. The Pacers would have acquired Evan Fournier and draft compensation in the deal as well. Scotto adds that in another iteration of the deal, Nwora would have been involved, although it is unclear where the 24-year-old would have landed.
At this point, the deal, which also would have created a $19 million traded player exception for the Knicks, has “stalled.” It remains to be seen if negotiations will continue from here on out.

Nwora started his NBA career in Milwaukee after the Bucks selected him as the 45th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. This was after Nwora balled out in his third and final year with Louisville, averaging 18.0 points and 7.7 rebounds per game.
Nwora didn’t exactly take the league by storm in his rookie year, but he was part of Milwaukee’s 2021 title run. The Buffalo, New York native saw significant progress in his game over the next couple of years, which could also be why the Bucks decided to cash in on him last season.
Nwora played just 24 games for the Pacers this past year, but he was able to put up career-best averages of 13.0 points on 47.6 percent shooting, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.1 assists, while also knocking down 1.9 triples per game on a 42.2-percent clip.
