The Pittsburgh Panthers and the #13 Xavier Musketeers are set to clash at 12:10 p.m. ET March 19 at Greensboro Coliseum in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
The Iowa State Cyclones typically have all the answers at home, but this past Friday Pitt proved too difficult a challenge. The Panthers enjoyed a cozy 59-41 win over Iowa State. Pitt’s forward Guillermo Diaz Graham filled up the stat sheet, picking up nine points along with eight boards and three blocks.
Meanwhile, Xavier earned some postseason bragging rights after a successful outing this past Friday. They secured a 72-67 W over the Kennesaw State Owls. Among those leading the charge for Xavier was forward Jerome Hunter, who had 24 points in addition to five rebounds.
The Panthers are expected to lose this next one by 5. However, those who like betting on the underdog should be happy to hear that they are 10-4 against the spread when expected to lose.
