District and substate pairings for the 2024 basketball postseason are available below for all classes.
Per the updated 2024 postseason manual, the Class 2A and Class 1A brackets will be released Monday, Feb. 5, and the Class 4A and Class 3A brackets will be released Monday, Feb. 12.
Preliminary round games in Class 1A are scheduled for Friday, Feb. 9. First round district games in Class 2A and Class 1A begin on Monday, Feb. 12. Opening round substate games for Class 4A and Class 3A tipoff on Monday, Feb. 19.

With the addition of IHSAA basketball rankings, bracket assignments and seedings are managed by the IHSAA.
Eight teams from each class advance to the 2024 IHSAA State Basketball Tournament presented by Iowa Farm Bureau, set for March 4-8 at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. For more information on the postseason process, please view the Basketball Postseason Manual.
Times: All games at 7 p.m., unless specified.
Locations: Higher-seeded team hosts single games, unless specified.
Neutral sites used for district finals (2A, 1A) and substate finals (All).
Tickets: District & substate games $6, substate finals $8, all via IHSAA Tickets.

First Round: Monday, Feb. 12
Second Round: Thursday, Feb. 15
District Final: Tuesday, Feb. 20
Substate Final: Saturday, Feb. 24
Preliminary Round: Friday, Feb. 9

For bracket purposes, the winners of District 1 and District 2 will play in Substate 1, the winners of District 3 and District 4 will play in Substate 2, and so on.

Tickets are $6 for district (2A, 1A) and substate (4A, 3A) games. Tickets are $8 for substate finals in all classes.
