College basketball transfer commitment tracker: Arkansas, Indiana, others secure top 100 portal prospects – 247Sports

The college basketball transfer portal is buzzing with a steady flow of entries and increased tick in commitments since the dead period ended late last week. The spring portal window began March 18 and about 1,700 players already entered. Almost 200 of those transfer prospects are committed elsewhere, but that means a vast majority are still searching for a new destination for the 2024-25 season.
About one-third of the top-100 transfer prospects in the 2024 cycle are off the board with Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Texas and several others landing some of the most recent commitments since late last week. While most of the early pledges from the transfer portal were mid-major prospects making the jump up to power conference programs, many of the latest commitments are prospects shifting between high-majors.
The list of best available players remaining in the portal is still loaded with immediate impact prospects that project to be hot commodities for those teams in search of specific needs. The spring portal window remains open until May 1.
