Semifinals up next this week in District 10 basketball playoffs – GoErie.com

The District 10 basketball playoffs wrap up at the end of this week, but first, the semifinals take place on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The boys start things off with nine games at five sites on Tuesday before eight girls games Wednesday at four sites.
The Hagerty Family Events Center hosts a doubleheader on Tuesday as Cathedral Prep hosts DuBois in a Class 5A subregional before Girard and Fairview battle in a 7:30 p.m. showdown in the D-10 3A semifinals.
The boys schedule on Tuesday also has doubleheaders at General McLane, Meadville and Oil City as well as a single game at Farrell as rivals Hickory and Sharon meet in the 4A semifinals.
Iroquois is looking for another big win in the 2A semifinals at General McLane at 6 p.m., while Mercyhurst Prep travels to Oil City to play Franklin at 7:30 p.m. in a 3A semifinal.
There is one boys game on Wednesday as McDowell heads to Pittsburgh to take on Allderdice at 5:30 p.m. in a Class 6A subregional.
The girls schedule on Wednesday includes doubleheaders at HFEC, Meadville, Sharon and Mercyhurst University.
The HFEC doubleheader includes a PIAA Class 6A subregional as Allderdice comes to Erie to take on Erie High at 6 p.m. before Fairview takes on Conneaut at 7:30 p.m. in a Class 4A semifinal.
Warren plays Harbor Creek in the other 4A semifinal at Mercyhurst University at 6 p.m. before Mercyhurst Prep plays Seneca in a 3A semifinal at 7:30 p.m.
At Meadville, Northwestern plays Wilmington at 6 p.m. in the other 3A semifinal before Maplewood and Cochranton meet in a 2A semifinal at 7:30 p.m.
Another time was announced as well with the Cathedral Prep girls going to Pittsburgh on Friday to play Obama Academy at 5:30 p.m. in a PIAA Class 5A subregional.
