Hoop dreams: Miami retailer debuts high-end basketball hoop brand

For those who want to combine their love of basketball with a high-end look for the indoors, Hoopstery has debuted a luxury line of customizable basketball hoops for residential and hospitality spaces, called Hoop The Art.
“Rooted in the themes of culture, Hoopstery takes inspiration from the history of basketball and reinterprets it in a contemporary, luxurious and refined manner,” said Kseniia Matiakubova, the artist and designer behind Hoopstery, a luxury retailer in Miami. “The collection inspires playful self-expression, while supporting purpose-driven art.”
Materials include handcrafted natural wood frames, eco-leather and Swarovski crystals. Customers choose the size of the hoop, the materials and more, with hoops start at $2,000.
The company has also recently given back to the community, updating the basketballs for both the boys and girls basketball teams at two Miami-Dade County public schools – Norland Middle School and Hialeah Middle Community School – “in an effort to inspire and remind them that it’s anyone’s game.”
Matiakubova added, “I am convinced that basketball not only helps develop faith in one’s strengths and capabilities, as well as the ability to use them, but it represents freedom and happiness to be able to do so as well.”
