The Denver Nuggets have cruised to the first NBA Finals appearance in franchise history behind Nikola Jokic, the two-time NBA MVP, who is averaging 29.9 points, 13.3 rebounds and 10.3 assists in the postseason.
The Miami Heat are in the NBA Finals for the seventh time. Minutes away from missing the playoffs entirely, they became the second No. 8 seed to reach the finals, joining the New York Knicks in 1999.
Each of the past four years has seen the finals end in exactly six games ‒ Toronto over Golden State in 2019, the Los Angeles Lakers over the Heat in 2020, Milwaukee over Phoenix in 2021 and Golden State over Boston last season.
