Current Brooklyn Nets and former Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving has made a lot of headlines in his basketball career.
Interestingly enough, one that has certainly maintained some staying power, is that of his comments on the Earth being flat, as opposed to round from an interview in February 2017 when he was still a member of the Cavaliers.
Well, those comments have officially made their way onto the list of nicknames on Irving’s Basketball-Reference.com page in the form of, “World B. Flat.”
However, to be fair, that isn’t his only nickname listed, as “World B. Flat” also accompanies “Uncle Drew” and “Ankletaker” as well.
Kyrie is a great talent and a highly intelligent person for that matter, which is why many have cast doubt on the sincerity of his flat-Earth comments from the get-go. Regardless, it’s a fun token of that interview as a nickname engrained on that page for the time being.
