Before Game 3 of the 2023 NBA Finals tips off on Wednesday (8:30 p.m. ET, ABC), we look at some key stats from the first two games of the series — fourth-quarter execution, open 3-point shooting and ball movement.
Miami has been the best fourth-quarter team of the playoffs and that dominance has carried over to the NBA Finals. The Heat have seen a significant increase in their ball movement in the Finals, which has also led to an increase in open 3-point shots, which they took advantage of in winning Game 2. That game also saw the fourth-fewest passes between Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray as Miami limited Denver’s two-man game.
