Kevin Durant now has his sights set on cracking the top 10 list, which could happen as soon as next week.

Except for opening night against the Warriors, Kevin Durant has scored at least 25 points in every game this season.
In his 1,000th career game, Kevin Durant moved passed Elvin Hayes for 11th place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list Tuesday night in the Phoenix Suns’ 120-107 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.
Durant entered the game needing 14 points to pass Hayes, and he got all 14 in the first quarter on 6-for-6 shooting, including a a 3-pointer and a free throw. He finished with a game-high 31 points now has 27,331 career points.
“Being amongst the all-time greats, the guys who set the standard and made the NBA what it is today is an honor,” Durant said. “It’s pretty cool and I just gotta keep going.”
Durant passed Hakeem Olajuwon for 12th on the career scoring list on Oct. 26, 2023.
Next up? Moses Malone is 10th with 27,409 points.
