KANSAS CITY, MO. – The Iowa State women’s basketball team’s quest for a second straight Big 12 Tournament title resumes Monday.
The Cyclones will face Oklahoma in the semifinals of the conference tournament at 1:30 p.m. at the T-Mobile Center.
Oklahoma beat Iowa State 86-72 in their lone meeting this season, on Feb. 10.
Oklahoma is full of familiar faces. Sooners coach Jennie Baranczyk was a star at Dowling Catholic High School and the Unveristy of Iowa. She also coached at Drake. Oklahoma guard Aubrey Joens, whose sister Kelsey plays for the Cyclones, began her career at Iowa State before transferring. Freshman Sahara Williams was a highly sought-after recruit at Waterloo West High School.
Iowa State is coming off a come-from-behind victory against Baylor in the quarterfinals of the tournament.
