SAGINAW, Mich. – Officers responded to calls of a crash in a Saginaw neighborhood on Thursday night.
The crash happened around 10 p.m. on the city's northwest side near Hammond and Mershon Streets.

Officers found that a black 2008 Mercedes sedan left the road and crashed into several trees.
The vehicle came to a stop after hitting a basketball hoop in the front yard of a home in the 2300 block of Mershon St.
The driver of the vehicle died as a result of the crash.
The driver has been identified as 34-year-old Ida Murchison of Saginaw.
Two other passengers suffered injuries.
A 38-year-old male is in critical condition.
A 33-year-old female suffered minor injuries, but was hospitalized.
