This year’s class of free agents doesn’t have a headliner like Giannis Antetokounmpo, Stephen Curry or LeBron James, but front offices looking to fill big holes on their rosters will be able to find talented players on the open market.
When does the league’s crazy spending season begin? Here’s everything you need to know ahead of NBA free agency.
NBA DRAFT GRADES: Ranking all 30 teams from Spurs to Clippers
NBA free agency will kick off on Friday, June 30, at 6 p.m. ET. Teams can begin negotiating with free agents at that time.
Most contracts can’t officially be signed until Thursday, July 6, at 12:01 p.m. ET. However, many players will agree to the terms of a contract verbally before putting pen to paper.
