The Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) scored its most-watched regular season in 21 years, with combined viewership across ABC, CBS, ESPN and ESPN2 up 21 per cent over the previous campaign.
The WNBA also had a successful season outside of TV audiences, with average regular season attendances up 16 per cent compared to last year. It also gained its highest total attendance across the season in 13 years.
Across all of its social media handles, the league garnered a record 373 million video views this season, which was up 96 per cent on the 2022 campaign. Its digital app saw downloads increase by nearly 400 per cent, while total views for its League Pass package was up 257 per cent.
On the back of strong viewership and engagement, the WNBA will want to set new highs for the postseason, which began on 13th September.
