Teams looking to continue their winning ways meet when the Chattanooga Mocs face the Lipscomb Bisons in non-conference action on Wednesday. The Mocs (5-1), who have won their only road game to date — an 81-71 win at Louisville on Nov. 10, are connecting on 46.4% of their shots from the floor. The Bisons (5-3), who are 2-0 at home this season, are hitting 49.6% of their field goals. Lipscomb leads the all-time series 18-12.
The game from Allen Arena in Nashville, Tenn., will tip off at noon ET. Chattanooga is averaging 76.5 points per game, while Lipscomb averages 84.5. He has scored 10 or more points in each of the last five games, including an 18-point effort in the win over Southeast Missouri State. He had a season-high 25 points in an 81-71 win at Louisville on Nov. 10.
Sophomore forward Sam Alexis, who is in his second year with the Mocs, has started all six games this season. He has reached double-digit scoring in each of the last five games, including registering three double-doubles. In a 68-63 win over Tennessee Tech on Nov. 19, Alexis poured in 22 points, while grabbing 15 rebounds. He also blocked three shots.
