The University of Alabama basketball team saw big movement this week in the Associated Press top 25 college basketball poll.
Coming off big wins over Mercer and South Alabama, the Crimson Tide jumped five spots from No. 22 to No. 17.
Appearing just outside of the top 25 in the “others receiving votes” section was Auburn, which picked up 28 votes to be ranked. The Tigers are coming off winning the Legends Classic Championship in New York.
Alabama will travel away from Coleman Coliseum for the first time of the season to Destin, Fla. to face Ohio State on Friday at 6 p.m. CT in the Emerald Coast Classic.
Auburn returns home on Tuesday to take on the Alabama A&M Bulldogs inside Neville Arena. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. CT, and the broadcast will be available on SEC Network+.
