Pelicans practice report: New Orleans focuses on defensive improvement
Naji Marshall definitely did not get to ease his way into the 2023-24 campaign, making his regular season debut following an injury by trying to slow down Dallas’ All-Star combination of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving on Sunday.
“To match up against Luka and Kyrie in my first day out, that’s the NBA for you,” Marshall said after Monday’s practice.

Injury Report: Herb Jones questionable for In-Season Tournament game vs. Mavericks
New Orleans starting wing Herb Jones was listed as questionable on Monday’s official injury report, due to a right fibula contusion, one of six total Pelicans who appeared on the list, ahead of Tuesday’s rematch vs. Dallas. Tuesday’s contest is the second game of the In-Season Tournament for both teams.

Williamson dribbled to the left side of the floor. He dumped it off for Ingram. Before Ingram could turn the corner and drive downhill, Williamson was whistled for a moving screen. It was a turnover — one of 18 the Pelicans committed in the game.
