Fantasy basketball sleepers 2023: Players to target in late rounds – For The Win
That’s right: The 2023-24 NBA regular season is coming up quick. And as the balls are bouncing throughout the preseason, people like you and me are scrambling in preparation for fantasy basketball drafts.
The top few rounds are fairly easy to make good picks — a superstar here and a quality starting player there — but the real league winners figure out how to nail the back half for the draft.
There are plenty of players who get glossed over because of injury history, they play on bad teams, or because they simply haven’t broken out yet. We call those guys the fantasy basketball sleepers, and we’ve got a list of them for you to keep an eye on to fill out your rosters at draft time:

I love drafting centers with upside late in drafts, and here’s your guy: He’ll help in field goal percentage, blocks and rebounds, big time.
Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports
You saw it toward the end of last season as a rookie — he could score, dish and hit some threes. I expect a Year 2 breakout.
Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports
It feels like forever since we’ve seen him healthy. Could this be the year we see him explode on the defensive end with blocks and steals aplenty? Worth finding out.
Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports
File this under: Young player still growing on a bad team, can do a little bit of everything.
Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports
We know he can score, and it might be a good idea to grab him, stash him and wait to see if he gets a much bigger role if Karl-Anthony Towns gets dealt.
Stephen Lew-USA TODAY Sports
A more valuable player than you think given his solid field goal percentage, occasional three and rebounding.
Troy Wayrynen-USA TODAY Sports
The rookie obviously comes with hype, but even in Year 1, on a team that no longer has Damian Lillard, he could be a star you can grab at a low draft position.

A very solid rookie year means the 3-and-D prospect takes another step forward even on a more crowded Rockets team.
Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports
Was last year’s postseason run a sign that he’ll break out this year? Only one way to find out!
