The Aces swept their way to the Finals taking care of the number 8 seed Chicago Sky in 2 straight, and dispatching with the 4 seed Dallas Wings in 3. New York beat the 7th-seeded Washington Mystics in 2 games, but dropped Game 1 of their semifinal series against Connecticut, 78-63. The Sun put a scare into the Liberty in Game 2 as well, but New York erased a 12-point deficit to tie the series at one apiece. The Liberty then took care of business in back-to-back games on Connecticut’s home court to close out the series.
Las Vegas and New York split their regular season series, 2-2, with both teams holding serve at home. The Aces finished the regular season with both the most efficient offense and defense in the WNBA, while New York ranked second and third respectively.
