He is an advocate for the NBA
NBA star Kevin Durant disagreed with a fan’s claim that the NBA is easier than European basketball. The fan was responding to a post quoting EuroLeague player Kyle Hines, who likened the NBA to playing checkers and the Euroleague to playing chess.
The fan also suggested that NBA players such as Joel Embiid wouldn’t average 30 points in the Euroleague, despite Embiid’s 33.1-point average in the 2022/23 season.
The ongoing debate about the NBA’s position in the basketball world has intensified after the Team USA’s disappointing performance in the FIBA World Cup.
Durant, a staunch advocate for the NBA, responded to the fan’s tweet with strong words, dismissing the notion that the NBA is easier.
“F**k outta here Imao. Y’all are insane,” he noted.
The fan argued that the NBA is structured to facilitate scoring and that NBA players don’t play defense. Durant disagreed with these assertions, implying that B-Moe was merely trying to be contrarian.
B-Moe persisted, arguing that while the NBA may be more popular and lucrative, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s more competitive or challenging. Durant countered by suggesting that B-Moe purchase a EuroLeague TV package to watch games.
Their exchange highlighted the ongoing debate about the relative competitiveness of the NBA and European basketball, with Durant staunchly defending the NBA’s level of play.
