With less than a month to go until the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023, national teams begin their preparation for the upcoming tournament.
BasketNews presents the preparation games schedule of the main favorites, including Team USA, Canada, Slovenia, France, Spain, and others.
Slovenia will play seven preparation games ahead of FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 and face China, Greece (twice), Montenegro, Spain, Team USA, and Japan.
Greece will play six preparation games ahead of FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 and face Slovenia (twice), Serbia, Italy, Team USA, and Germany.
Serbia will play five games against Greece, Italy, Puerto Rico, China, and Brazil in three different countries.
Spain will play five preparation games before FIBA Basketball World Cup, from August 4th to August 19th, facing such teams as Team USA, Slovenia, and Canada.
France will play seven preparation games ahead of FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 and face Tunisia, Montenegro, Venezuela, Lithuania (twice), Japan, and Australia.
Italy will play seven preparation games ahead of FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 and face Turkey, Greece, Serbia, Puerto Rico, Brazil, New Zealand, and Cape Verde or China.
Lithuania will play ten preparation games ahead of FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023, with Ukraine being the only opponent that won’t play in the upcoming tournament.
Australia will play five exhibition games before FIBA Basketball World Cup, from August 14th to August 22nd.
Team USA exhibition series includes five games prior to FIBA World Cup 2023: Puerto Rico, Slovenia, Spain, Greece, and Germany.
Canada will play five exhibition games ahead of FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 and face Germany, New Zealand, Spain, Dominican Republic, and China or Germany again.
