Suns trade Cameron Payne to Spurs – NBA.com
Veteran guard Cameron Payne has been dealt to San Antonio, while Phoenix also reportedly picks up Bol Bol in a separate transaction.

Shortly after the deal was reported on Sunday, Payne posted “Love you Phx!” on his Twitter account.
In a separate move, the Suns also reportedly agreed to a one-year deal with free-agent center Bol Bol.
And in a move involving the Orlando Magic and the Suns announced Monday, Phoenix gets three future second-round picks from the Magic for a 2026 first-round pick swap.
Payne, a 28-year-old point guard, has been with the Suns for the past four seasons. Over 174 games with Phoenix, Payne averaged 9.8 points, 4.8 assists and 2.6 rebounds per game. Payne was selected No. 14 overall in the 2015 NBA Draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder.
In adding Bol Bol, Phoenix gets a big man with ball-handling skills who can also hit 3-pointers (although he shot just 26.5% from deep last season). He enjoyed a career-best season in 2022-23 with the Magic, appearing in 70 games while averaging 9.1 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 1.2 bpg and 21.5 mpg — all of which were career highs.
Phoenix was busy on Sunday, dealing away Cameron Payne and adding free agent Bol Bol, too.
Phoenix was expected to have a quiet offseason after trading for Bradley Beal, but has been active while trying to build a roster around him, Devin Booker and Kevin Durant. Already, the Suns have agreed to terms with sharpshooter Yuta Watanabe, big men Chimezie Metu and Drew Eubanks, and wing Keita Bates-Diop.
The Suns traded Payne with a second-round pick and cash to the Spurs for a future protected second-round pick in a deal that will clear salary cap space.
That cleared the way for Phoenix to sign Bol, who was released by Orlando earlier this month.
