College Basketball Transfer Portal: Stanford forward Harrison Ingram sets first visit, has in-homes coming – 247Sports

Since hitting the Transfer Portal, Stanford sophomore Harrison Ingram has emerged as one of the hottest players on the transfer market.
A former McDonald’s All-American and five-star prospect, Ingram was the Pac-12’s freshman of the year during the 2021-22 season and averaged 10.5 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game during his two seasons with the Cardinal. At 6-foot-7 and 230 pounds, Ingram is a versatile playmaker who can facilitate offense and defend multiple positions.
Included among the many programs to reach out to Ingram are the likes of Arizona, Baylor, BYU, California, Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Missouri, TCU, Texas A&M, UCLA, USC and Xavier and while he’s been quiet publicly, his recruitment is starting to shape up behind the scenes.
247Sports has learned that Ingram is expected to host schools for in-home visits beginning Friday and the first wave will include Baylor, North Carolina, Texas A&M and Xavier. After Ingram hosts those schools, he has plans to take an official visit to Kansas during the early part of next week.
In talking to various sources in the college coaching industry, Kansas and North Carolina keep coming up as two to keep an eye on. Kansas is losing All-American forward Jalen Wilson to the Draft and like Wilson, Ingram is from the Dallas area and played for the same summer program. While no official visit has been set for UNC at this point, it may not be necessary for Ingram to visit Chapel Hill. Coming out of high school, Ingram chose Stanford over Carolina and Purdue and he’s already been on an unofficial visit to North Carolina and wouldn’t need to see campus again.
While Ingram hasn’t established any kind of hard timeline for making a decision, he’s not expected to take too much time in picking his next destination.

**Editor’s note- The in home visit with Xavier was confirmed shortly after the initial publication of this story.
